"Project Spark has helped me tremendously in organizing my own life. The world is very fast moving and sometimes we lose track of whats important. With Project Spark I know what my real goals are, what my day-to-day obligations are, and what I have to do to make myself a better person. This is a must have app for people of all audiences!"

Summary:

Digesting your daily life in pursuit of happiness. This is our vision, our mantra. We are on a journey of discovery. We are attempting to make sense of words like “success”, “happiness”, “goals”. We want you to join us on our journey. We understand that every journey is personal but we want to help you sort through the noise. We believe that a giant leap is made up of a million small steps. We don’t have all the answers and probably never will but we don’t think that should stop us from pursuing them. Project Spark helps us to take each step along the journey…both alone and together. Join us. There is plenty of room on this trail!

The Project Spark App is a tool to help you better manage your life and maximize your time. We have broken down life into 4 categories: Professional (Career/Job oriented activities), Personal (Family/Friends/Leisure oriented activities), Health & Wellness (Fitness/Spiritual oriented activities), R&D (Entrepreneurial/Educational/Hobby oriented activities). However, it is really up to you on how you want to define each bucket! By setting goals for time spent in each category and tagging events in your iPhone calendar with one or more of these categories, our app provides you with a weekly snapshot of how you are spending your time and if you are reaching the goals you have set for yourself. It’s easy, fun, and most important of all, helpful!

The Project Spark blog will offer insight and articles about managing life and navigating the work-life balance. Please be sure to sign up at Your Spark Blog (http://projspark.wordpress.com/).

Getting Started:

1.Defining Your Goals: The first step is to define your goals. On the Define Goals page you will be able to select the percentage of time you would like to spend on each category for the current week for a total of up to 100%. These goals will carry over into subsequent weeks until you change them again.

2.Tagging Your Events: You can do this one of two ways: 1) when creating/editing a calendar event, select any tags you like in the Categories section; or 2) in the Notes section of the calendar event you can manually add #pro for Professional, #per for Personal, #hw for Health & Wellness, and #rd for R&D. Remember, the app only tracks tagged events for the current week.

3.Current/Progress Screens: You are now set to track your progress! The Current screen provides you with the current breakdown of your time spent during the week and the Progress screen shows the breakdown of time spent that week against your goals. You can see this breakdown for just your tagged time or for all of your time (tagged and untagged).

4.Share With Friends: You can also share your progress with your friends on Facebook by posting your Progress and Current charts to your Wall. Just select the Facebook icon on the Current/Progress screens and you will be on your way!
